Health Care
Our agency works to improve health care access for individuals with disabilities. Advocacy, Inc. believes that all people with disabilities should have access to health care coverage and services that meet their unique needs and that all services should be readily available, affordable, accessible and accountable.
Advocacy, Inc also believes that adults and children with disabilities should have an adequate network of community-based services and supports that enable them to live in the community of their choice and receive appropriate services promoting independence in the most integrated appropriate setting.
To achieve these goals, Advocacy, Inc.’s efforts include: individual casework; class action litigation; development and dissemination of written materials for individuals, advocates and policy-makers; trainings; and advocacy for public policies that support access to quality health care and services for individuals with disabilities.
